Hello!
I'm Lisa Bennet, a Science tutor with over 10 years' experience in independent, grammar, and comprehensive schools. In 2024, after a successful career teaching in secondary schools, I started Science Stars Tutoring to provide pupils with one-to-one support outside the classroom environment.

What I Offer
I am a qualified Science teacher with a decade of professional experience teaching in several schools with different backgrounds. I’m particularly passionate about Biology and the natural world, and I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for this subject.
Services I provide include:
- Exam Preparation: Good preparation is the key to good grades! I have experience teaching to numerous exam boards including Edexcel IGCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics; AQA Biology, Chemistry and Physics; OCR and AQA Biology A-level.
- Special Educational Needs (SEN): I worked as an assistant SENDCO and a teaching assistant prior to teaching, and am adept at accommodating pupils’ needs to ensure there are no barriers to learning.
- Tailored support beyond the classroom environment: I love making science fun. My experience teaching Year 7 right through to Year 13 has helped me to develop a tailored style of tuition, and I love finding creative ways to motivate, engage, and boost the confidence of pupils who might struggle in a typical classroom environment.
I have a current DBS certificate and have completed all government background checks.
